We are very pleased to be the licensed designer and distributor for Downton Abbey® Eyewear by Bonavista Optics. We are a private Luxury Eyewear company, owned and operated by a Licensed Dispensing Optician who began in the optical industry in 1980.
Bonnie J Ashley specializes in custom designs and bespoke eyewear. In addition to delivering beautiful aesthetics and quality workmanship with the use of superior materials, being a veteran optician gives a first-hand understanding of facial structure and optical applications needed for the patient’s/client’s eyewear. Our eyewear is manufactured in the United Kingdom, Italy, France and Japan.

We are pleased to introduce our first ophthalmic collection of Downton Abbey® Eyewear. The official launch was at 100% Optical in London, 23-25 April 2022. Advertising has been amplified during the release of the new Downton Abbey movie, “A New Era”.
The “Crawley Family Collection” is available for immediate shipping!
All ophthalmic eyewear will be available through Eye-Care Practitioners only.
The pieces reflect the style and characteristics of the series and movie characters, the first release representing the immediate Crawley Family members.
The eyewear models are all optician designed, with facial comfort, fit, balance and style in mind. The frames have the vintage vibe of the Downton Abbey era with some artistic license being taken, reflective of the luxury and opulence portrayed in both the series and movie. We have used the full pallet of colour given to us by the Downton Abbey creative team throughout the series. This will range from soft, subtle and subdued to rich and elegant tones, to the bright, vibrant and lively colours of the 20’s. Our metal models are made with Titanium and some are 18 Kt. Gold plated titanium. You will enjoy the progression of the eyewear which follows the timeline of the series and movies.
In order to become a registered seller/stockist, an account application with Bonavista Optics, Inc. must be completed and approved, along with the initial order to purchase the Crawley Family collection.
